Joaquín’s Baby Blanket

Yes, it’s another baby blanket! Everyone in Kent’s family has been having babies, and now my family is starting as well! So many babies!

You will need:

– 2 colors of soft yarn. I use kinds that say “baby”.

– a size H hook

– scissors

With the first color of yarn

Chain 10.

Single crochet in the second chain from the hook, and in each chain across.

Chain one. Turn, single crochet across in each again.

Continue this until you have ten rows.

Join the second color.

Single crochet all around the square three times to form a border.
This will create one square. Make 25 squares.

Arrange the squares 5 by 5.

With “wrong” sides together (see picture below) weave them together.

Finally, single crochet all around the edge of the blanket twice to form the last border and make it look finished.  Used the first color but either would look good!
